Description
Spunding (sometimes called bunging) is the process of trapping the naturally occurring CO2 that is created during the fermentation process. It is absorbed into the wort as it turns into beer. The spunding valve maintains a set pressure in the fermenter to naturally carbonate your beer, working in a similar fashion to a pressure relief valve. The pressure gauge indicates how much pressure is in the vessel. The clear cup can be filled with sanitizer or water to maintain a sanitary environment during fermentation. The end result is a perfectly carbonated beer.
